Testing & quality

We don’t have reviews yet. We have lab results.

Hushwell is a new brand, so we can’t point you at a wall of five-star ratings. What we can do is show you exactly what’s in the bottle — the independent lab report for every lot we’ve produced, and the certification covering the facility that makes it. Every document below is published in full.

Manufacturing · all products

NSF/ANSI 455-2 GMP-certified facility

Every Hushwell product is made in a facility whose manufacturing, processing, packaging and holding processes have been assessed by NSF International against NSF/ANSI 455-2 — the Good Manufacturing Practice standard for dietary supplements. Certification is current through January 2027.

To be precise about what this covers: it certifies the facility and its processes, not the individual product. We don’t claim product-level NSF certification, because we don’t have it.

Magnesium Glycinate

Certificate of Analysis

Lot MGL250923

Independent laboratory analysis: potency, heavy metals, and microbiological screening. Testing procedures, equipment calibration and maintenance carried out in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards.

  • Pass Heavy metals — arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury (USP <233>)
  • Pass Microbiological — E. coli, salmonella, staph all negative
  • Pass Magnesium content verified above label specification

Why the COA says 96.91 mg and the label says 275 mg

Both are correct — they’re measured per different serving sizes, and this trips people up often enough that it’s worth spelling out.

The laboratory tested a single capsule (926.08 mg) and found 96.91 mg of elemental magnesium, against a specification of more than 91.6 mg. A Hushwell serving is three capsules. Three × 91.67 mg is the 275 mg on our label — and the lab’s measured result came in slightly above that specification.

Ashwagandha

Three lots have been produced. We’re publishing the certificate for each one rather than only the best-looking result — including the lot where the testing was narrower.

Certificate of Analysis

Lot ASH250113-02

The most comprehensive of the three. Heavy metals and microbiology run as ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited analyses, plus botanical identity confirmed by near-infrared spectroscopy.

  • Pass Heavy metals — all four within USP <2232> specification
  • Pass Microbiology — E. coli, salmonella, staph none detected
  • Pass Identity confirmed as organic ashwagandha (NIR, USP {1119})

Certificate of Analysis

Lot ASH250421

Botanical identity confirmed by FTIR, with heavy metal screening by ICP-MS and full microbiological analysis.

  • Pass Heavy metals — arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury (USP <233>)
  • Pass Microbiological — E. coli, salmonella, staph all negative
  • Pass Identity confirmed against the ashwagandha standard (FTIR)

Certificate of Analysis

Lot ASH240612RW-2025-172

Microbiological analysis only. The heavy metal panel was not run on this lot — the certificate records those four analytes as not tested, so we’re saying so here rather than leaving you to find it.

  • Pass Microbiological — E. coli, salmonella, staph all negative
  • Not tested Heavy metals — no result reported for this lot

Sleep Support

Unlike our Magnesium Glycinate, Sleep Support is a melatonin formula — the certificate below verifies the melatonin and vitamin B6 content by HPLC.

Certificate of Analysis

Lot MFP250506 · best before 5/30/2027

Active ingredient quantification by HPLC, with heavy metal screening by ICP-MS and full microbiological analysis.

  • Pass Melatonin — 10.89 mg per serving against a 10 mg specification
  • Pass Vitamin B6 — 1.93 mg per serving against a 1.8 mg specification
  • Pass Heavy metals — arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury (USP <233>)
  • Pass Microbiological — E. coli, salmonella, staph all negative

What gets tested, and why it matters

Heavy metals
Botanical and mineral ingredients can carry trace arsenic, cadmium, lead or mercury from the soil and raw material supply. Screening is done by ICP-MS against USP limits.
Microbiological
Screening for aerobic plate count, coliforms, yeast, mould, E. coli, salmonella and staphylococcus aureus. Across every lot above, the three pathogens returned negative.
Identity
Confirms the botanical in the capsule is actually what the label says — by FTIR or near-infrared spectroscopy against a reference standard. Adulteration and substitution are long-standing problems in the herbal supplement trade.
Potency (label claim)
Confirms the active content matches the label — by HPLC for actives like melatonin and vitamin B6. Under-dosing is one of the more common problems in the category.
ISO/IEC 17025:2017
The international standard covering the competence of testing laboratories. It’s referenced on the Magnesium Glycinate certificate and two of the three Ashwagandha certificates; it is not referenced on the Sleep Support certificate, so we don’t claim it there.

What we don’t claim

Hushwell is a new brand and we’d rather be precise than impressive:

  • We have no customer reviews yet. Rather than invent them, we’re publishing the lab documentation instead — you can check it yourself.
  • The NSF/ANSI 455-2 certificate covers the facility, not the individual products. We don’t hold product-level NSF certification and don’t claim it.
  • Not every lot gets an identical panel. Ashwagandha lot ASH240612RW-2025-172 was tested for microbiology but not heavy metals. We’ve published it anyway, flagged, because a testing page that only shows the flattering documents isn’t worth reading.
  • Our products aren’t interchangeable. Magnesium Glycinate contains no melatonin and isn’t sedating. Sleep Support is a melatonin formula — a different approach for a different night. Please don’t read claims about one as claims about the other.
  • COAs are lot-specific and we update this page as new lots are produced. If you’d like the certificate for the exact lot you received, email us with your order number.
  • These supplements support sleep, calm and everyday stress as part of a routine. They aren’t treatments, and benefits build gradually with consistent use.

Tested, documented, and backed for 60 nights.
